"Italy posing." The 150th anniversary of italian Unification and the problems of national Unity between historiography and social representation
Edited by Barbara Bracco and Maria Pia Casalena

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Italian Unification, StoricaMente proposes a special dossier that will address the national identity topic, with the support of interviews, scientific essays, documents and reviews. This magazine's initiative will last until summer 2011, and it will be not only oriented to the examination of historical points and critics that have been repeatedly explored by the hystoriographical literature, but also it will help to analyze the "narrations" that, from the formation of the Unitarian State up to nowadays (from the establishment and political liturgies to media representations), gave a strong contribution for a national feeling and italian spirit generation. This dossier will be divided according to the review's surveys.
