TY - EJOUR AU - Jan Höltje T1 - Emotional Aspects of Road Safety Issues in Bielefeld, 1979-1995 TT - AB - This article offers a cultural approach with semantic methods and constructivist premises on the history of mobility. It gives an overview of events taking place in Bielefeld 1979-1995 and analyses the medial and political resonance of traffic issues. The focus is on the perception and communication of insecurities by individual actors, institutions and local media. The proposition is that emotions are structuring the behavior of citizens participating in traffic as well as their social roles when protesting against perceived insecurities. AD - Univ.
