All the sites here analysed (the memorial of Jasenovac/Donja Gradina; the memorial of Srebrenica; the city of Mostar and the area of Prijedor) are either located nearby (or crossed by) borders or embody themselves a “cultural border”, being each of them also contested places where conflicting versions of the past clash. Drawing on the methodology of narrative semiotics, the border is then used as a methodological point of view to study how competing memories interact in space.}, keywords = {Bosnia Herzegovina Yugoslav wars ’91-‘95 competing memories borders post-conflict narratives}, ISBN = {ISSN:1825-411X}, year = {2017} }
